Bishops Waltham and Meon Valley CAB does not just help clients to solve their problems, like all CABx, we take social policy action when we see something that needs changing. We take social policy action on both local and national issues.  The Bishops Waltham & Meon Valley Bureau was actively involved in the campaign for NHS Dentists to be available in rural areas, and highlighting the problems encountered by people when this vital service is not readily available.

The CAB service has a history of successful social policy campaign work http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk - for example, the recent introduction of tenancy deposit protection is a direct result of lobbying by groups including the CABx Service. The CABx service also successfully campaigned for the introduction of non fee charging cash points in areas where people had difficulty accessing their money without a fee.

All of our campaigns are based on evidence collected by advisers. Advisers produce reports that we use for campaign work. You can help with this work by telling us about your experiences, please click here for how to contact us. You can help even if you have not asked for advice about the issue - we are grateful for all contributions. We are particularly interested in hearing from you about the following issues:

The information that you send us will be used by the Citizens Advice Bureau service to lobby for change.

If you have been contacted, either by phone or letter, regarding a reassessment for sickness benefits, it is important that you do not ignore these as it will affect your benefits. We are carrying out a survey that will help us campaign for improvements to the system. If you would like to help by taking part in this survey once your reassessment has been completed please click here to go to the survey form. If you would prefer to complete the survey form on paper please print the document to the left.
