A big thank you to everyone who supports us with their much valued contributions, purchases and donations. Without these the Bureau would not be able to operate as it does and they are therefore much appreciated.
We were very fortunate to receive additional funding of £300 from Councillor Peter Mason to purchase a new scanner and a portable display board.
Our next fund raising events are:
Street collections, are to be held in Wickham Square 4th September 2010 and Whiteley
Shopping Outlet 2nd October 2010. We will be at all places from 10.00am -
Recent events have included:
Street collection was held in Bishops Waltham on the 28th August 2010 and raised £137.46. A big thanks to all who donated.
Golf Day, on Thursday 19th August at Botley Park Golf & Country Club. Although the numbers were a little light it was a great afternoons golf. The weather managed to stay dry and the course played very well. Everybody enjoyed themselves and we raised £157.50 for the Bureau. A special thanks to the Friends of CAB who kindly donated the prizes and Botley Park for allowing us to use their facilities.
Fashion Show at Swanmore College, 19th July 2010. Proceeds divided between the CAB and British Heart Foundation.
Bishops Walthan Carnival on Saturday June 12th 2010 where we raised £172.75 with a further £14.60 in donations on the day, giving a grand total £187.35. This includes the kind donation of £5.60 by the winner of the CAB Challenge, Stuart Hatch, with a time of 1m 29secs. Special mention is deserved to the Bishops Waltham Rotary who organised a very successful event and contributed to the support of the CAB.
The Meon Valley Lions also give great support and fund the outreach service at Wickham.
We continue our car boot sales campaigns as they seem to prove to be successful and to date we have raised £530. A big thank you to all those who donate items for sale and a big thank you also to those who have bought items.
Money has also been raised through us attending various events around the local area and we will endeavour to attend more in the future.
Last years street collection in Bishops Waltham raised £223.33 which was a fantastic sum. Our grateful thanks to all those who contributed.
Finally, we are especially grateful to all those who make donations to the funds of the Bureau. This includes a private donation of £100 and a donation by George Hollingbery, MP for the Meon Valley, who donated funds to enable improved signage to the Bureau in Bishops Waltham.
